Thanks for sharing! I’m Rana Qurban, and this is my travel blog. I’m an avid traveler who first fell in love with exploring the outdoors during a 2015 hiking trip to the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.

The next year, I embarked on my first major international adventure—a solo road trip across Iceland. Despite having a limited budget, I managed to make it work by sleeping in the back of a rental car for an entire month while driving 7,000 kilometers around the country, capturing all the breathtaking scenery on film.

To my surprise, one of my early videos went viral, amassing millions of views and even catching the attention of BBC Travel, who featured it on international TV. Since then, I’ve continued my solo journeys, exploring numerous developing countries across Asia, Central America, and the Middle East.

Throughout my travels, I’ve encountered various challenges, including experiencing the 7.0 Lombok earthquake in Indonesia in 2018, being present during the bombings in Bangkok in 2019, and dealing with scams, fights, sicknesses, auto accidents, and other unexpected events along the way.

Despite the difficulties, my adventures have also brought me incredible moments, like sleeping in jungle treehouses in Bali, trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp in the Himalayas, going on Komodo dragon safaris in Indonesia, sampling unique delicacies like tarantulas and scorpions in Cambodia, riding a camel to the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, skydiving in Oahu, Hawaii, touring medieval Samurai castles in Japan, and visiting timeless world monuments such as the Taj Mahal, Tikal, Machu Picchu, Hagia Sophia, Angkor Wat, and Petra.

In 2018, I achieved a personal record by visiting 24 countries in one year, all while maintaining a modest budget of rarely spending more than $30/day on my travels, including accommodation and food.

While I haven’t explored every corner of the world just yet, I’m constantly seeking new adventures and adding to my ever-growing list of destinations to visit. I hope my travel blog can inspire and assist you in your own journeys as well!
